Located approximately one hour by train from London, Museum & Art Swindon presents Beneath the Surface, an exhibition featuring works ranging from William Staite Murray's vases of the 1930s to contemporary sculptures by Tessa Eastman and Fenella Elms, showcasing the richness of British ceramic art. The exhibition also includes works by Hans Coper, Gordon Baldwin and Alison Britton, who helped reshape the forms and techniques of ceramics throughout the twentieth century.
Across these generations, visitors can discover how ceramic artists have explored new sculptural possibilities, moving far beyond functional objects.
